Research Interests
As an undergraduate, I worked in several labs. One of which looked at the relationship between combat exposure and rates of suicide in National Guard service members. The other lab that I worked in examined the effectiveness of behavioral activation versus a control treatment to help Veterans with PTSD quit smoking. I was also involved in a project that looked at the implementation of a tobacco use template in primary care to see whether the use of a standardized template increased access to care.

I am interested in continuing to research the relationship between trauma and substance abuse and will apply to graduate school in the future to pursue my PhD in clinical psychology.
