The Emotional Empathy Scale (EES) yields one total score indicating an individuals current capacity for empathy.

ITEM CODING

The EES consists of 33 items that are rated on a 9-point Likert scale as follows:

Disagreement
Neutral Very Strong
Agreement

The EES yields 1 total score. Scale scores are calculated as the sum of respective items. Underlined/bold items are reverse scored.
