The WHO Quality of Life-BREF (WHOQOL-BREF) is a 26-item questionnaire that measures an individual’s quality of life. This particular measure is designed to work across cultures.
ITEM CODING
Items are scored on a scale from 1 to 5 with higher responses implying a higher quality of life. Item 3 is reverse coded.
SCALES
Physical health: 3, 4, 10, 15, 16, 17, and 18
Psychological: 5, 6, 7, 11, 19, and 26
Social relationships: 20, 21, and 22
Environment: 8, 9, 12, 13, 14, 23, 24, and 25
